    Tips and tricks. STAFF HUBS.

There are several types of STAFF HUBS. For stationary use, we have designed an elegant screw-on version for you. For cost-effective use at mobile counters or for catering, we have our inexpensive adhesive version, which you can easily apply. Just peel off the film and the STAFF HUB is ready for use; no drilling or screwing. For uses that relate not to places, but to people, we have a Chill-Card for you. Simply put it in the supervisor's wallet – employees then check in and out directly with them. For those who prefer it free, we provide QR codes. It couldn't be simpler. Nevertheless, we have a few tips for you.

    STAFF HUBS replace expensive terminals.

While they cost less than 10% of your standard terminal, they work similarly. With one advantage: they don't require power. This makes it easy to install STAFF HUBS where they are needed. It's really easy. However, you should consider a few things beforehand. What you definitely need is good (mobile) internet reception if you don't want to give your employees access to your Wi-Fi. It won't work without it. The larger the facility, the more sensible it is to work with more than one STAFF HUB. Unlike terminals, you don't have to make do with just a few points. Here, more is sometimes better. But don't overdo it. What else should you consider? We've given it some thought.

    Central position at the entrance.

Everyone will want to use the STAFF HUB: your own employees, those of your service providers, and perhaps even freelancers. So a central position at the entrance and exit is helpful. Find a point where as many people as possible pass by. A tip: if there is already a time recording system, this point is probably where the expensive terminal hangs, where everyone holds their barcode or RFID chip. Conventional systems stop there. For you, the brain-teaser begins there. A few suggestions.

    Changing rooms.

Getting changed, as far as it is required for the job, is working time. So if your employees have to change, changing rooms are also a good option. Because clocking in here usually marks the start of working time. However, since you are interested in how long the employee works in their department, it makes sense to place a STAFF HUB there as well. More on that later.

    Break room.

Unlike terminals, STAFF HUBS are affordable, and you can hang them wherever employees frequently are. There should also be one in the break room – then breaks can be easily booked.

You also want to record breaks taken. Firstly, breaks are not working time, and secondly, you want to fulfill your legal obligations. So – a STAFF HUB makes sense here too.

STAFF HUBS where the work is done.

In large businesses, STAFF HUBS are ideal where the work is performed. You can sort this by cost centers, e.g., banquet or restaurant. But you can also sort by activities, by equipping the kitchen or warehouse with STAFF HUBS. There are no limits to your creativity. But don't make it too complex and complicated for your employees – after all, SMARTCHILLI is intended to be a relief, not a burden. If you have cash register positions or kiosks, it makes sense to equip each cash register with a STAFF HUB. This way, you can always see which cash registers are currently staffed with employees and which are not.

    Equip managers with Chill-Cards.

If you have employees who coordinate service providers or colleagues, it makes sense to give personal Chill-Cards to managers in addition to the stationary STAFF HUBS. They can then directly coordinate and check employees in or out. Especially with new colleagues, it is sometimes easier to send them to a supervisor so that they can help with the induction.

    All in all: a conclusion.

As you can see, SMARTCHILLI is universally applicable. We have only listed a few examples here, and we are grateful for further ideas; we also learn something new every day. You lay the groundwork for successful use of SMARTCHILLI at the beginning. Perhaps you can talk to your employees and service providers about which points are good. What they all have in common are good locations.

If you heed these rules and consult with your employees, half the battle for a successful introduction of SMARTCHILLI is already won. Let’s get digital. SMARTCHILLI.
