When someone accepts a shift in SmartChilli, they think about the evening, the team and the money – not about their hours balance. And that is exactly the point: the fewer hurdles when swiping, the faster shifts are filled and the more your people work.
Every dispatcher knows the flip side: someone has to keep track of who is already close to the mini-job limit. Until now that meant keeping lists, recalculating, asking when in doubt – or only noticing at payroll, when it is too late.
The hours alert takes this calculation off your hands. With every scheduling decision, SmartChilli automatically checks target hours, carry-over from the previous month, logged time and confirmed assignments. If everything fits, the shift simply goes ahead
As soon as a shift would exceed the month's target hours, the alert appears – before the assignment is confirmed.
Target hours, carry-over from last month, logged time and confirmed jobs without time entries add up to the available hours.
Set target hours to match €633 and the hourly rate – including the higher wage floor in agency work.
Dispatchers choose 'Yes' or 'No' to schedule anyway. Adjust the rules under 'Settings'.
Example values for illustration
If this employee is scheduled, they exceed their monthly TARGET hours for Oct 2026 by 3.00 hours.
